Nordic Harvest Mission are an institution started by Evangelist Håkon Fagervik,
founded on a vision to evangelize through prayer, fasting and out-turned contact
with people. Håkon Fagervik come from Heroy in Helgeland, North Norway. He was saved as a young boy,
when he visited the Salvation Army in Kristiansand, doing fishing in the North Sea. The
calling to be evangelist he got when he was 16 years old, through a vision he had in a
prayer meeting in Bodo. The vision he had was thousands of people get lost, but no one stood
guard to stop them, touched Håkon's life so deeply, and since 17-18 years of age he used his life
to work for revival, mostly as evangelist. In 1990 he went to Russia, it resulted that he
have used much of his time in East Europe the last years, and his heart is burning to bring
the gospel to this hungry people in east.
The work in Nordic Harvest Mission is founded much on prayer on the conviction that the evil one fastenings first demolish through prayer, so God's kingdom shall proceed with revival in many places. We in Nordic Harvest Mission will first talk to God about people, before we talk to people about God, so their hearts can be opened and be prepared through prayer, before we give them the gospel. For the moment the mission is starting to import prayers from other countries where revival is going on, to fight in prayer to prepare our country for revival.
In all Christians' life it is so much frozen «prayer capital», it have to be released to salvation for the people we live together with. Use more of your time to pray, and your life will be a fountain of living water to the thirsty. John. 7,37-38
